Songs

Some stories are told through words, some through images, and some can only be told through music. At 999 Geen Dienst Studio, songs are another form of storytelling, carrying emotions, memories, struggles, and moments that deserve to be heard. From original singles and music created for our films to new musical projects, every song begins where we always begin: with a story to tell.

The Rock Storyteller

Stories were never meant to stay on the page. Some demand to be sung.

The Rock Storyteller is a new musical storytelling project by Tommy Sherif, produced by 999 Geen Dienst Studio, where the raw power of country rock meets the intimacy of storytelling. Built around original songs that journey through broken dreams, love, regret, survival, lost wishes and the stubborn refusal to surrender, the project turns every song into a story and the album into a journey. Dark rock, slow-burning country influences and cinematic arrangements create the landscape for characters who fall, remember, fight, lose, win and keep walking. This is not simply a collection of songs. It is storytelling amplified.
The Rock Storyteller will soon have its own dedicated website, revealing more about the project, its stories, music, films and upcoming debut album.

Meeting in Nowhere is an original film score composed by Mostafa Darwish for the film Department 215.
The piece follows the emotional journey of Essam, a Syrian refugee living for tomorrow while desperately searching for a way back to his past. His hope is tied to finding what he has lost, but when Yassien finally helps him uncover the truth he has been searching for, Essam is confronted with a question he never prepared himself to answer: What comes after finding the past?
Meeting in Nowhere reflects that uncertain space between memory and reality, hope and loss, searching and finally finding. It is the sound of a man who has spent so long trying to reach yesterday that, when he finally gets there, he no longer knows where tomorrow is.

Zalamto Nafsy explores the inner conflict that lives within us, the constant struggle between our good deeds and our mistakes, between the desire to do what is right and the temptation to surrender to our darker desires.
Blending the spiritual and expressive character of Sufi singing with the atmosphere of slow rock, the song gives a musical voice to this internal battle and reflects one of the central struggles within Taha.

Written for a very special person, the song comes from a deeply personal place. It speaks about the kind of love that becomes part of you, carried quietly beyond distance, time, and everything left unsaid. A simple story told through music, born from something real and kept deep inside the heart.
